CE Frequently Asked Questions - Site CEU

HOW IT WORKS
1) Place order online or by phone at 1 (808) 238-8825

Call 1 (808) 238-8825 with any questions.

2) Your order will be processed immediately online.  Then you may choose to go directly to your classes through the GO TO CLASSES BUTTON
or an email with the link for the school system will appear which you can click on to enter the school system or you may login anytime from our front home page.

3)  When you have entered the system Choose the School System Link.  This will show you your information, courses and exams.  My Classes will give you the option to print your certificate following the completion of the course.  The Class Catalog is where you may order additional classes.

4) You may then read the course and take the post test online.  In California you do not need to send in the post test any longer.  You just need to keep a copy of your certificate.  For the NASW and other states you may need to  sign and return  the completed test to the appropriate address where it will be kept on file.  You must keep a copy on file as well usually for 4 years in case of audit.  This may vary by Board and State.  Our system will be accessible to you and will keep a personal record of your tests and completion online.

5)  If you need your certificate immediately our system is entirely dynamic and online.  At siteceu we are currently upgrading the system to make this process even quicker with everything being available to you within minutes online.  Our system is now entirely online and your exam and test delivery should be immediate.  When you pass the exam your certificate will be stored in "My Classes."

Q.  I have never taken a class on the Internet before and I am not very computer literate: is it hard?
A. This is by far our most frequently asked question. It is remarkably easy after you get through the initial jitters. When we first begin, it is a journey to a foreign land with an unfamiliar language.   It is both exciting and a little intimidating, but once you get started we think you will truly enjoy the simplicity and remarkable availability of clinical resources available in this format. For the vast majority of our clients this is a first effort at online course completion. We are here to help you through the process.

Q.  Where is my certificate?
A.  Following successful completion of your examination the certificate can be accessed by going back into 'My Classes' and clicking 'certificate view'.

Q.  What is my login and password?
A.  If you have forgotten your password simply click the 'forgot my password' link.  Supply your login name and email address and your password will be sent to you via email.  If you cannot remember your login name call us at 1 (808) 238-8825 or email us at admin@siteceu.com and we will retrieve it for you.

Q. I read somewhere that California Therapists do not have to send in the completed post test but it says to send it in at the bottom of the exam?
A.  California Therapists do not have to send in their completed post tests but as therapists from other states may have to the reminder has been included on all post tests.

Q. How does this system  work?
A. siteceu is a great way to get your continuing education requirements filled; no conferences, hotels, parking, childcare, etc.  No hassle!!!!!!   It is important to check with your licensing agency to find out how many of your ces can be taken independently.  Certain states allow 100% of ces to be self-study.  Definitions of self study vary from state to state.  Under California's new definitions and our new system all of our courses are considered regular ce as the tests are all online and interactive.

Q. What if I don't want to take my class right away?  Is there any time limit within which I have to complete the course?
A.You may login to DELETE to the system anytime to take your class and exam.  There is no time limit.  When you are ready to access your classes please go to our front page at:

https://www.siteceu.com  or  https://www.siteceu.com/school/login.asp

Your classes  will be in the " School System" under "My Classes".  Following your completion of the material you may " Take an Exam"  If you prefer to print out the exam as a guide through the course you may go first to "take an exam" and select print on you navigation bar.  When you pass the exam your certificate will be stored in "My Classes."  Please print out a copy and keep it for your personal records. CA no longer requires that you mail us a post test.  Your account will remain established at https://www.siteceu.com  if you ever need another course in the future.

Q. I got myself in a huge time crunch...can you help???!!!!!!
A. Definitely...Our system is now entirely online and your exam and test delivery should be immediate.  If you choose not to go directly to My Classes you can login on the home page at www.siteceu.com and go to the School System to get your courses and exams.

Q. How do I know if a course meets my State's requirements?
A. All of our courses are accepted by the California BBSE for MFTs and LCSWs.
As mentioned above, the NASWDC approves most of our courses on a state-by state basis.
Please go to our page of continuing education links if you have questions about your state or licensing board.
FOR NURSES MOST STATES THAT REQUIRE CE  ACCEPT THE CA APPROVAL AS EQUIVALENT FOR THEIR STATE.

Q. Pre licensure requirements, do continuing ed providers qualify for requirements?
A.  Again this varies from state to state.  Most recently we received the following correspondence from the CA BBS and they accept our course.  Child abuse  and Human Sexuality courses for their prelicensure requirements. Substance Abuse may be taken for prelicensure for LCSWs and out of state clinicians retesting in CA. Darkened Corners I and II can be taken for the out of state Spousal abuse prelicensure requirement.
There has been confusion whether Child Abuse could be taken online in an email dated 2/25/04 Theresa Malloy, BBS Intern Evaluator states

As indicated in the California Code of Regulations Section, 1807.2,  as of April 2003,  Child Abuse Assessment and Reporting can now be obtained from a continuing education provider approved by the board.  If the approved provider provides the course online then the board would accept it so long as a certificate of completion has been provided.

Q. What is the difference between online and self- study?
Again this varies greatly from state to state. California's definition is that Self Study courses are those in which you received the materials as hard copy or as a text and took the test on your own with no online component. All of our courses are designated as online because they have interactive online tests.  As long as you complete your test online it will now be counted as a regular course meaning you can take as many as you wish in this manner. This includes all of our offerings with texts.

Q. I am new to the Internet.  How do your courses work?
A. Anybody may take these courses over the Internet.
1. You may:
a) order directly on our secured line
b) call 1 (808)238-8825 and leave your credit card information

2. Orders are shipped within one - three business days of receipt.

3. Additional charges apply for hard copy requests of texts.

4. After payment the text and test can be accessed over the Internet.  We will e-mail you the URL, or web address where it is located.  If a hard copy of the test is needed, please request it.

5. After payment and completed tests and evaluations are returned a certificate will be mailed to you.
Please remember to sign the bottom of the test to certify your compliance.

Q. Is it hard to take Internet courses?
A. No...it is really easy!  We are around to help if you run into problems. We have tried to make getting continuing education units as interesting and easy as possible. Please let us know if we have succeeded.

Q. I need a supervision course.  Do you offer one?
